WHAT WE BELIEVE

Bible:  Both the Old and New Testaments are the verbally inspired Word of God without error in the original writings and provide the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.  (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:21, John 10:35)

One God: God is a supreme, eternally existent, sovereign, creator of all things, infinitely perfect, holy and though one, is distinctively three in one, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.  (Deuteronomy 6:4, Psalm 90:2, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30)

Jesus Christ:  God the Son existed eternally, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, fully God and fully man apart from sin.  He was crucified for our sins, died was buried and rose bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father from which He will return to judge the living and the dead.  ( John 1:1-5,10-14; Luke 1:26-35; John 10:29-33; Luke 23:33-24:8; Acts 1:9-11; 2 Thessalonians 1:9-10)

Holy Spirit:  God the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son.  He glorifies the Lord Jesus, convicts people of sin, regenerates the believing sinner and indwells all Christians.  He guides, instructs, empowers and gives gifts to believers for godly living and for service in the building up of the church, the body of Christ.  (John 14:16-26, 16:7-15, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 12:11, Galatians 5:22,23)

Sinfulness of man: Man is created in the image and likeness of God, has sinned and is guilty before Him.  Because of man’s sin salvation is absolutely necessary to be reconciled to God.  Only by God’s grace through faith in the shed blood of Christ can mankind receive forgiveness of sin and be justified in God’s sight.  (John 3:16-19,36; 5/;24; Romans 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10)

Resurrection of the dead:  Both the saved and lost will be resurrected; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.   (John 5:28-29)

Personal return of Jesus Christ:  Christ will return to judge the world and establish His kingdom.  (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10, Revelation 19:11-21)

Church:  The Church, known as the Body of Christ, consists of all true believers by virtue of their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.  The local church of a given community is a representative part of the total Body of Christ.  We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of minor doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.
